"SteamEnginesAndEverything.com"
I hope you enjoy the site I am trying to create which will be an information and partly an advertising space purely for anything to do with steam. That really does mean anything from photography to big heavy locomotive and traction engine refurb work. It is the intention of this site to not only help keep up the profile of preserved steam both here in the UK and the rest of the world, but to become a vital source of information. You will be able to come here and find just about any service you could want in the steam preservation world from this site. Now this won't happen over night but I have every confidence that it will work....In the current hard times companies' nationwide are struggling to stay afloat, I feel that one thing which may help keep people in work and companies in general busy is to provide affordable advertising space to enable them to help keep up there profiles in what is certainly an uneasy climate at the moment.
I am open to your suggestions and if there is something you would like to see on this site or if you feel that your world of steam could do with some extra exposure and advertising, please feel free to get in touch. I have been working with companies to display Ads through the site which you will see such as Rail Europe, not just to try and earn money but to also make the site more useful to people that visit and if I'm lucky help to keep improving it. I will only advertise companies that have relevance to what I'm trying to achieve and to keep in with the remit of what the site is all about.
Please just bear in mind that the site is not yet finished and the work goes on and I know that there is a few Gremlins knocking about in there....The site really is designed for the purpose of helping to keep steam preservation in all its many forms alive and to showcase projects from within the steam world such as new build locos etc but above all to show that being involved with steam preservation in this day and age is a very cool thing to be a part of and we should encourage people to get into it.. Supplying reasonable advertising space on the site is just a small part of where I want to end up. I have always been getting my hands dirty with engines of all shapes and sizes including restoring my own steam roller and I still can't get enough of it. My biggest ambition in life is probably becoming a driver on the preserved railway I work at so im getting the driving time in at every opportunity...I would also like to let you know that I am providing Loco refurbishment and re-painting from 3 1/2" gauge up to 7 1/4" and Traction Engines etc from 2" up to 6" so please feel free to get in touch if you have a tyred looking steam engine for me to give a new lease of life...Well that's enough about me for now and I hope you come back again soon.
More to come and Many thanks for having a read,,,,
Best Wishes,
